For the life of me I can not get to turn those front springs. Is the chrome piece a lock and you have to back it off to turn the soring? I see another nut just underneath of the chrome one or is that a spacer? With the spanner wrench in my hand I can barely move it. Am I supposed to lift the sled in the air? I am puzzeled on how this works? Any help?

Two nuts. (like a jam nut) Take the weight off the sled by lifting it up. I realy helps to have two spanner wrenches. Don't try to use the transfer rod wrench. (it won't fit.)

Mine came with the spanner wrench. It should of came in the same package as your manuels did. It's a bit rediculous... It should not be this hard.

Take flat slot screwdriver and tap the chrome locking nut(not the top one the one next to the spring) counterclockwise. just to loosen it. then use spanner wrench to adjust the thinner nut. i just did mine last night the spanner just seems to slip on the chrome locking nut.

Did you have to lift the front of the sled in the air? Thanks.

Not neccessary, but it helps slightly.
