I brought a new Vector GT 40th @ the end of the season and have not ridden it, but noticed the grips do not warm up too good.

The grips are good in 20+ F degree temps. Below 10 deg they are miserable, same with the windshield.

I am happy with the ones on my RS Venture. They certainly don't heat as quickly as on my previous Bombis but they are good enough for me.

All grips on GEN II body styles are the same with 1 peice HOOK style bars NO HEAT!!! 
I have a '08 APEX with same problem...I installed hand guards it did help a BIT but still not as warm as my '05 RX1 I had.
Hopefully YAM will come up with a cure, overall the sleds are very reliable compared to the competition...

I put tall windsheild on and the grips work good for me, ok below 0.
