All you guys running after market bars I'm wondering what you do for the heating elements? I want to run different bars with a different bend but not sure how I would go about the heating element install?
With different grips and RSI heating elements how do they hook up to stock wiring harness and will this affect my stock controls or throw a code? Currently I use the 2007 Mnt. bars and riser with a 2" Rox pivot on top, I'm not sure how high the total rise is and how high I can go with the T-post pivot adapter and risers running the stock throttle cable....all info you might have or advise I'd surely appreciate before ordering my set up. Rural Alaska is not cheap to ship to I need to get it right the first go around.

I'm useing the RSI heating elements as well. I simply cut the disired length from the stock wires, with the factory plug at the end. Solder the wires together and shrink wrap the exsposed wires so that its water tight. Plug them in and your all set. This is the setup I am running and have not had a code on it. Good luck and happy trails!

fergdog is correct.
Just be careful when installing the elements so that you don't get any "folds" in them.
(Folds will make any heating element fail where the fold is.)
Wire the High & Common to the factory wires.
(Polarity doesn't matter)
Use your existing controls.
Hope this helps!
