From my research it seems that Bender, Hauck, and White Knuckle are the only companies that make that style. I thought that someone on here said that Hauck actually loses power, True? With the aftermarket exhausts are fuel and clutching changes usually required? Most of you on this thread didn't make mention of that other than a stumble on low end. I would like to drop some weight off the Apex Mountain SE and I love how the Bender and Hauck sound, but I would hate to do alot of messing with the fuel and clutching settings. Thanks for any responses.
Not sure about the other exhaust's but I'm running a hauck exhaust on the asphalt and I would doubt it is losing power as the sled flat out fly's. It would be nice to do a back to back comparison but it's very time consuming to change at the track.

I believe there is only one version of the white knuckle for the 07 attak. They made a "race" and "trail" version for the rx1.
I am curious how loud the excell exhaust is? Is is usable in Wisconsin without getting noise tickets all the time? How loud is the excell compared to a stock exhaust?

I've been pondering weither to gut my stock exhaust out or to buy an aftermarket exhaust.
Whats out there for aftermarket?
I want something that sounds loud!!! lol So my buddies on their 2-Strokes can hear me!!!
Thanks,
JohnWow so you want to piss everyone off,ok than get the hauck exhaust that should do it,i know i had there get-r-done kit,and man was it loud, made my ears almost bleed, when i would let a bud take it so i could hear it,not quite as bad when you are on it with the helmet on,but just a warning, you will lose hp with that exhaust,do yourself a favor get the excell exhaust i test drove one on the apex from my dealer, and the thing was a rocket, and we raced them both the week before when his was all stock and they were real close before,in fact i could run past him slightly, than not even close after.

Thanks for the reply stone88. This is the quote that I was talking about that states the Hauck Exhaust loses hp. Does anybody have anything to support that hp loss? mnmsnowbeast? Thanks

I have the hauck exhaust and race a buddy of mine with an apex (Bender exhaust) and were side by side. Haven't performed a dyno but you shouldn't loose hp, not sure if I gained either. 3hp is not going to make much of a difference. I did notice running abit rich in the low and mid range, Installing the hauck fuel map in the fall to see if I can lean/balance out the ranges.

Just so you know, you can not lean out the fuel delivery with a Hauck programer. It only allows you to add fuel in different in low, mid and top range.

I appreciate the sound of a high performance motor of any kind as much as the next guy. However, it's important to keep this sport we love so much alive and well. Nothing upsets the general public more and gives the anti's ammunition like a TOO LOUD snowsled.
Just my opinion.

I wish some would could do an independent dyno on them all to see who's makes the most power and who performs just as good in the field.

Well I hate complaining but here is the super Q I received in the mail. Doesn't look anything like in the pictures. I payed the extra money for the ceramic coating because they told me it would not rust. Not sure how that will work out with the big scratches in it. I took my fingernail to the scratched area and it flaked off some more. Looks like it is primer out of a can. The cutting oil and filings left in the end of the pipe after cutting I guess is a bonus. LOL Haven't put it on yet because I have to paint the end caps black so they don't stick out. Greyish white won't look good sticking out of the exhaust covers. Not really happy with my choice but I'll put it on and see what it sounds like. Will post before and after vids of the sound. Left out the pics of the holes in the welds.
