Does the airbox mod void warranty? Should you use a power commander? What kind of hp gains do you get?

Any mod “could” void your warranty. The general consensus is the fueling is pretty rich from the factory and you can run a Can + Airbox without a power commander but a commander does help to smooth out the fuel curve and add a few ponies to the combo. Adding a header is where a fuel controller/performance flash should be done. Mine has a Can + Airbox mod and it has a noticeable lean spot transitioning from idle to part throttle, it had it stock also, just not as noticeable.Does the airbox mod void warranty? Depends what warranty is for. PCV Not necessarily. Would depend on other mods. AFR guage is one of best investments I made. Now I know if I need to tune. 4 st is very forgiving though. Watch engine temp if its hotter than normal surely you need to richen fuel. Flash version matters also in my opinion.Does the airbox mod void warranty? Should you use a power commander? Lol almost a double post! I like how you think blueiron!Any mod “could” void your warranty. Subscribed. I'm thinking about the air box mod with stock exhaust.

Cracked header is the source of my noise. No flex joint on the header like a Nytro so any stress on the header from being bolted in and secured in place by the hold down spring probably helped it crack.
