I have a 03 rx1 and have never had a problem with it. Last week I took apart the carbs and the air screws were all different one they were,
4 / 2 /2.5 / 1.5 turns out so I looked in man It said 2 turns out so I did that . It still runs great and the trottle is crisper but It sounds like it has a little miss. It always ran real smooth now it just doesent sound like it used to. ps-it does not backfire at all. Sould it sound like this and i am just not used to it running right. thanks.

They are indeed.
You did the right thing Snowdust. The reason they were all adjusted differently was due to the fact that the factory sets each cylinder separately to be under a certain EPA/pollution level. At 2 turns out you will be fine. For the record these screws adjust fuel, not air. They are designed to adjust the air/fuel setting of the carburetor.
You may want to clean you pilot jets though. That has been a source of problems for lots of people.

It sould idle smooth though, right. Tonight I went 2 1/2 out and it sounds smoother I still do need to check and clean the jets. thank you for your help.

That is my point...there are no air screws on stock RX1 carburetors.
Peteracing, I was referring to the statement made by snowdust about they being "air" screws. I thought I read that. Obviously I was wwwrrr, wrrrr, wwwwwrrrrrong. <- Said in a "Fonzie from Happy Days voice". LOL.
I have edited my post above for clarification. Sorry for the mmmiis, the mmmmm, the mmmiissstake.
I'll have that drink you are offering at this time Peteracing!
