Amazing MP Carving Skills!

I have to admit that since you put us onto your Youtube vids I have discovered another guilty pleasure ......... Allan Gofenko's snowmobile video adventures. I'm working backwards through them and am on 2012. I could say much but I will only say I have coined a new word .... gofenko. For example; the dodge power wagon is gofenkoed; the viper is gofenkoed; my phazer engine is gofenkoed; guess what, the MTX is gofenkoed.

Inspired by his 2015 Skidoo carving I have been messing around on my MP. Unfortunately at my best it is more like going 50 feet on one ski rather than carving. But to my credit I don't think the skimmer helps a bit. I love the video and am going out to try some more tommorrow, unless I get up and try to start Blue and find he's gofenkoed.

I am the same when it comes to carving on the MP. I can ride on 1 ski for about 50 metres. After that I flop back down.

Careful when trying it alone. Allan was really pinned and if I wasn't there to lift the machine off his leg he might have been in trouble.

One thing I've learned is it's not my sled, it's me, when it comes to skillful riding.

Allan is a pain to follow in the Portages. He rides fast and I ride at a pace that ensures I don't hit a tree or die.

Glad you like the videos.

Wish this thing had power steering!

What I wouldn't give to see the video of Allan pinned, trapped at the mercy of a sled too mean to tame. Revenge of the Yamahas, tune in next week to see the next thrilling episode. Does Allen chew off his leg, does oil drip into the airbox and onto the engine and catch fire whilst our hero writhes in pain or is he rescued by a troop of bullet ridden stuffed animals.

If this frat house humor is not to anyones liking then skip Allen's videos. I however like them, with crackers(ie. cheese and crackers). Is it too obvious I am goading you guys into making more radical MP vids?

I have been flipped and tossed off mine too many times to try that anymore. And I weigh 200 lbs more than him so it really is half a ton! And I've have been pinned the same way once. Oil doesn't come out on that side but gas! Melted my boot. Good thing my son came back for me!

And he was out of breath too. Imagine mountain riding this thing? It has been done.

Well, I couldn't resist. I knew I had to put a bit more into it than before. So once to the left .... lame, and then to the right hard .... hard enough that we went over with the rack(loaded) pinning me. I thought I was gofenkoed for sure. Fortunately I got out easily and the beast was on its left side. For the uninitiated that is the preferred side to tip over on if you get to choose.

Dead easy to get him on his feet. I ran in the ice screw, tied on to the spindle, looped through the ice screw and back to the spindle. Two time mechanical advantage and even this geezer could handle it easily.

Checked the airbox and it was dry, by the time I repacked Blue started without incident.
