Guy's I got my wife an '06 Rs Vector and she absolutely loves it. Is the belt squeal because the sled is new? Its only at real low rpm's when starting up or slowing down. I'm thinking its going to go away once the belt is worn a little. I saw a previous post about shimming out the secondary to drop the belt a little by adding washers. The sled is just awesome and this seems to be the only issue. Any comments would be appreciated. Happy Holidays guys!

MIne went away after the belt got a bit worn. This year...put a new belt on, and it's back...but going away slowly again. I didn't do any shimming to my Rage, just leave it.

Take the spacers out of the secondary and the sueel goes away . I didn't do that and only got 3000km out of my first belt .

If I want to remove the spacers, where are they located on the secondary, and is it big deal?

It is very easy . remove the top belt shield .remove the black side cover .
Remove the belt . Remove the bolt in the center of the secondary ,slide the secondary off the shaft .Becarefull not to lose the spacers . On the back side of the secondary you will see three small bolts . Remove the bolts the spacers are behind them .remove all three spacers and put them on your key ring so you can find them if you ever need them . reinstall the bolts with out the spacers. put it back together and you are done .
Don't be afraid to ask more questions if this is not clear .

Went home early last night and did as you boys described, no problem! I can't believe those three little spacer (washers) make that much of a difference. At closer look you can really see how well these machines are put togther. Fit tolerences second to none. Thanks guys for the help.
I add/remove these washers without removing anything but the clutch guard.
I say that so to make sure other peoples don't stick with this picture of having to remove the belt, pulley, side panel then loose washer.. and so on....
I have a stack of 2 at the moment, the belt have 6500 km in it and i am about due to a move... either a new belt or washer.
P.S.. i am not using Yam washers so thickness may vary
