Got together with my usual riding buddies today for the first time this year, was sure fun of get together again. I am loving the Viper more with each given ride. My only complaint really is the windshield. It looks nice but that's it. At speed into the wind it feels like it's going to blow you off the sled and at - 6°its a cold #*$&@ ride. Warm starting wasn't really an issue today, it almost seems to be temperature sensitive??

I have about 240 miles on it now and it's getting more lively with each ride. Saw 93 Mph today and the trails weren't ideal for speed, I got 97 out of my buddies procross 800 so it's doing pretty good! He said he got my Viper to 95 but he's a little smaller than me. My rpms seem too high though, it instantly pulls 8650-8700 or so then climbs. I saw 9050-9080 a few times today, it doesn't seem to pull as hard up there. Think I am going to need to look at a clutch kit if this keeps up. Any one know where the rev limiter is on these things?

Adjusted the air in my shocks from 65# to 78# and I went too far. My buddy has his procross 800 set at 65# and it eats everything you throw at it, think I am going to drop to 70# for the next ride because it's a little bit too stiff. Starting to get more movement out of the rear skid. I haven't done anything to it I just think everything is loosening up, it is riding really nice now. Weight transfer is decent on hard pack but I am still getting a little push in the corners. Might try pulling the strap up a hole.

Love the sled.....

Yes the windshield is designed for - 5C or warmer, (24 F or warmer to you), but at least you weren't alone the Pro Cross looks about .0000001 Deg's warmer and the spar chassis looks the same.
My wives XTX went through the (by the book break in)
did not exceed 6000 for the first 160 K and not past 8000 till 500 K. The problem then was pinging off the Rev Limiter (9358 max RPM on the gauge), I have loaded the weights and have now brought max RPM down to 9150 and WOW does it pull. I now need someone to run it and line up with my Nytro. (My wife wouldn't be the person to do that)
If it will run my Nytro it will beat any (stock)Assault 800 and run an 8000 XF or Renegade 800.

Awesome! We had a great ride also. Sled was in the zone. Can't believe how many times throttle was pinned. Even managed 105mph for the first time. Suspension and handling was perfect. Great day! Doubt many people in this world have that kind of fun. We are lucky!

1800mi rpms have creeped up again to 9150. Keep in mind it takes perfect conditions. Ice with a a bit of loose snow for those kinds of speeds with mine.

I understand the conditions thing, my Nytro was the same way. It would run 90-95 on the trails with loose snow and last season I got 108 out of it on a iced over gravel road with a tail wind. Never broken 100 with that sled on the trails but ice it was no problem. I was curious about the Rpm because I feel that I might need to add some weight to my primary if I Rev any higher.
