The lights are the css impact safety lights they work great no more hand singles they have a yellow,a green ,and flashing yellow leds

I've seen these safety lights advertised before. My concern is that most of the people that you meet on the trail will not know the meaning of the lights.

However if this catches on and becomes well known it would be a real safety improvement over hand signs, especially at night.

riding in MN and WI I have only seen one sled with them

We ride the Old Forge, Tug Hill, Speculator area and we have six in our group. Each of us have one of these units. We find these work great. We don't have to take our hands off the handlebars to signal other sledders. The last one changes their lights to green. Most of the people that we pass understand the lights what the lights mean (amber means another sled is behind and green means they are the last sled). The lights also help to see your group at night.

;)!

If everyone in a group has one and they are set properly then I think that most of the people that your group meets will figure it out.

However if you are the only one that has one in your group I think that most of the people that you meet will not understand it.

If these become more common place in MN (I have yet to see one on the trails) then I may consider getting one.
