I know there are a lot of people that have closed off their tunnels to help with the ice build up, but any issues with closing it off entirely like with the oft kit, and then having heat/melting issues? I've also seen alot of home fabricated closures that look great and are full closures-- any issues with the heat? I definitely want to close it off, but wondering if I should go with a half closure like the SB or a full enclosure. Thanks a ton for your feedback!

I only had a hole large enough for the exhaust pipe to pass thru. Rode it like that for over 1000 miles in all conditions from trail to mountains and I had zero heat issues.

I have had mine closed off for 4500 miles with no issues, even have a painted tunnel with the exhaust bolted a 1/4 inch away and NEVER saw any distortion in the paint caused by heat. I think your safe.
