I have the mid height windsheild on My Apex and the guards just touch at the very end of a complete turn right or left. I don't have a problem with that because I don't know when I will ever turn My bars that far and even if I do they just touch at the end of full turn.

apex mirrors
I am working on a set that will mount in the headlight pod, just like the RX-1/Vector mirror set. I am in the start of the process and will hopefully have sets in about 1 month. I will get back to this posting with pictures of the prototype in a few days.

Sweet apexer06. I can't wait to see them. I see our sleds are the same exact machine so I really want to see what you are up to.

Have you looked at the mirrors and mounts available from the dealer...see attached link. They are only available in Canada. I just order a couple of sets. One for me and one for a friend that just ordered the new XP....he didn't like what Doo had to offer. Has anybody used these?

I'd go with them if someone can verify they work out o.k.
But I wonder why some of the guys here have used other mounts from aftermarket shops.

That's exactly what I put together and installed on my 07 RTX.
I used the same mirrors (Phazer) and ordered aftermarket mounts that look identical from Royal Distributing.
It works well, except the mirrors could be a little bit farther out. I can see behind OK, but I also see a fair bit of my shoulders. If I align them so I can't see my shoulders, I can't see behind as well.
Still, I think this is the best option for the Apex - definitely the most functional.

Re: apex mirrors
Great mirrors for the RX-1 and the 05-07 vectors. But they won't fit the new gen II bodies. Sorry. I did this last year for my '06 Attak. They can be a little low for bigger or taller guys, but I have the mountain riser on my sled, so I can see over my shoulder.

If no CA riders are willing to step up then can someone give me a dealer that has a website who I can contact to buy the mirrors?

Nice Rumble the mirrors are available in the US. The nice thing is ANY 10mm mirror will work. However, the mounts are only available in Canada. I checked on shipped. Ten $ for the 2 mounts and 25 $ shipping...a little steep. I only live 30 minutes from the border...I'm making a road trip...need to pick up some refreshments anyway). If you don't have any luck, I could pickup an extra set.

I sent an email to http://www.motorcitypowersport.com/default.asp If that deadends I'll take you up on your offer seeing as how your headed that way anyway. I should know by tomorrow. I'll just take the mirrors off my KLR for the winter.
Thanks
