I managed to drive around the Polaris after he and the white sled thumped me off the line, however as I approached the finish line, the white sled(third place finisher) was somewhere up around Inlet.

here is the final race, at the finish line. Man that is close. Landon Wolfe is on the white sled and Mark Tangas is on the black sled.

Yes is was.That crappy.
No complaints. But..
A Great idea having a minor (un-insured for the condtions)drive your 130+mph sled in a un -supervised,un-sactioned , un-insured, advertised, speed contest on a NYS lake,. Im sure all principles involved publicly (owner excluded ) were acutely aware of the horrific liability and PR storm that would ensue if a 14 year old minor was involved in incident that involved another (over 18 yr. old) operator,..would that be terrible beyond words.?

But ,,hey...Thats racing(?)! #$%&*

Boo! Lousy post!

Why are you so paranoid? The kid put on a real display of how to ride a high horsepower sled. Save the lectures for your knitting forums.

I'd let this guy drive anything I'd own, as fast as he wanted.

My 14 yr old nephew is second in points on the WPSA circuit. He hits 120' tripples and is one of the smoothest riders I've seen. Don't be dissin' the kid because of his age - there are young riders out there that can handle a sled.

Any luck wayne???? Find out what went down???

AJ,

Bad news. I thought I had the problem solved. I finally found a small crack in my oil tank that was leaking and causing the major portion of my oil problem. I figured I'd compression test it while I had it all apart. Well, that is the bad news....

My readings came out 170, 170, 15, 170. The cylinder that was 15 lbs was also the one with the "crushed" ground strap on the plug. In fact, when I pulled out the plug, the ground strap was crushed again.

Funny though, the engine doesnt sound bad when trail riding...especially above 7000 RPM.[/b]

A good liability lawyer on retainer ,would be a better choice. (?)

Close final race... Came down to weight, Mike had the better combo with Landon driving. Good time, good time!
And it came down to Front Mount vs Rear Mount, how much sweeter can it get? How it all started...
Good job guys. Lets do it again ;)!

Dude, you out of your mind, or you have nothing to lose. I wouldn't have even raced him. I can see the headlines now. "Where was the kids parents". Endangering the welfare of a child by the parents and the guy racing him. This was plain stupidity with regard to legal exposure. Jail time for sure.

I guess Tucker Hibbert probably shouldn't have been racing at the X games when he won it at 15 either!

I am neutral on this but good point... and 4 yr olds race motoX.
However, I see the other point considering that they are also on closed courses that are sanctioned and insured. Not on a lake or publicly accessed trail...

I don't think it's being debated if young kids CAN do it. We just got smacked by Landon !!!!
