Well #*$&@. Haven't been here in ages and come back to read this. Didn't know the guy but loved his sled builds. RIP and condolences to his friends and family. Had a heart attack myself back in May. Scary to think of.

I live under a rock, so I am just seeing this.
Like many of you, I had seen Don’s builds on this site over the years. I always thought they were tasteful and perfectly executed.
A couple years ago, I was thinking of jumping ship because I had been on my SW for 5 seasons, and I wanted to try something new. I was interested in the Lynx Xterrain 900R. I started researching them on DooTalk and I noticed a familiar face over there. Of Course, Don had the sweetest looking Lynx I’ve ever seen.
I sent him a PM on Doo talk asking him how it compared to his Sidewinder. He responded back, and told me it would be easier if I called him, and he left me his number. I called Don the next day, and he spent 20 minutes on the phone with me, going over all the fine details of what I could expect if I switched brands. He was the best snowmobile salesman I have ever dealt with. I got off the phone, and ordered my Lynx the same day.
