Hope this doesn't bother anyone(if it does just delete).....but with the new Procross chassis, and 4 stroke motors and of course that turbo which is easily "boosted" from stock....How many of my apex faithful have ordered a new 1100 turbo?

I for one wanted something new,and the new apex just wasnt different enough then my current apex...so trying something ...... a black/orange snopro f1100 turbo.

Always will love my apex and she will stay in my stable for sure(near 10,000 miles and looks as good as day i bought her, still radars 120mph on good ice with stock map & predator 1")....but this new turbo will be fun to make into a radar rocket with a TD flash/clutching/1"x14" hacksaw.

I don't know anyone crossing over, but most of the crowd at the Sneak Peak were over checking out the new Cats. The look sweet for sure. Good luck Rockerdan and be sure to report back how u like it.

Oh, and u better keep that Apex of yours as a back up, being that you'll be riding a Cat now and all...... ;-)

yeah i will always keep the apex....its my baby!...and i absolutely have it setup low and flat handling with the 13mm sway....i get on any other newer sled(like a new rush) and simply hate the ski lift....my sled handles like its on rails on the nice groomed trails.

so i might end up hating the handling of the cat right off the bat,who knows!

i have heard feedback saying the new cats feel 150 lbs lights then last yrs turbo did....it did shed approx 70lbs for 2012 i guess. and supposed to handle flat with the agressive new front end.

funny thing is,till now i never even imagined going to another brand, but the fact its a 4 stroke and has many of the great features our apexs have made me take a closer look.

i probably wont see many of apex gang post here, but i have seen many familiar yammie faithful over on arctic chat and HCS.

competition is always good for the sled manufacturers.....keeps them working hard and lets hope costs stop going up up up.

sled

Good luck Dan, I have one friend switching from ski-doo do the turbo cat,
will miss ya over here with all the good info you have done with all the detailed picts, I am still riding my 06 gt with 10,500 miles on it, maybe next year.

cat

good luck as well, thanks for all the help, you will enjoy new cat.
it makes people think, and if yamaha does not come out with something different, people will switch from all brands.

I rode a 2010 Turbo Cat with Mods 220 hp, I was not impressed

2012 might be a new animal .... time will tell

I'll ride that this winter ,one of my freinds ordered one

Not me. I really don't like the look of those huge A-arms on the front of the cats. Does nothing for me at all.

I came over from green. After all the upgrades I have done I really enjoy my Attak too but if I could afford it I would buy a new Procross F1100 in a second.

I like the look of the new cats...but you couldnt pay me to buy a first
year new model cat.

I am shocked by two things...number one...the number of
people who have no patience...they come on here, explaining
why they made the switch..almost like they have to get
approval from someone else to validate their purchase..why
bother?? Buy what u like.

Number two is the amount of interest the doo guys have with
the new cats...lol
Be patient folks...yamaha is gonna blow people away with
what they have coming (the economy is the key factor, in what
will get released and when)...we all know another ho hum for
2013 model release could be very bad for yamaha.......
Hmmmmmmmmmm...just a thought here...doesnt suzukis contract
with cat run out this year?? What if........lol...just sayin

I'm also doing a wait and see but if they drop the Suzuki motor no way. Been there done that with Polaris's crappy domestic 700 that grenaded after 2000 miles.
I love my Apex but if the Cat's handle better I would be interested. If the new Cat's are junk more than likely new Apex for me just can't beat the motor.

Cat dealer here is awesome but I would likely buy the extended warranty to be on the safe side.

My buddy bought a 2009 Z1 left over the beginning of the season, couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Vibrated like hell, heavier than our apexes, couldn't go into a corner w/ confidence, had to back off, sled pushed no matter what adjustments he made. Blew both shocks w/ less than 900 miles (he weighs 190 lbs), blew belt w/ 800 miles. Ended up selling for less than he owed on it.

I rode it for 5 minutes, couldn't get back on my 2011 XTX fast enough!

I will say the sled is fast and doesn't eat slides . . . . . lol.

My dealer is both a Yammi and a Cat dealer, and those new X Cross Cats look good. I wouldn't be worried about a Suzuki 4 stroke motor -- even a turbo'd one. My buddy used to have a GSXR 750 and that motor was awesome. Suzuki makes great motors IMHO. But I just love my Apex, so I doubt I'll ever switch, but I think the new Cats are awesome.
