I have a 2015 STX-DX and I'm considering putting on a electric winch on the back behind the seat. Pls share your thoughts or pics.

I'm thinking of trying to fabricate a bracket for a winch on the front. I'm thinking the front would be better since usually when your stuck the track is buried.

I have never been stuck and needed to pull myself out.......OH on the rear to pull the others out now I get it!! Lol
You cannot stick these things just pin it and rock it. I have had mine in a ditch with 10' of fresh powder buried over the bars. Tromped down the snow in front and it walked right out. Even with the 1.3" camoplast it is going to be hard to get it stuck
You know what's going to happen to you this winter now! Better carry your phone and take pics. I can see it both upside down and stuck in ten feet of snow in ditch! Been there. It sucks. Almost impossible to roll back over. Luckily in ditch can call a truck to pull you out. In middle of woods winch may come in handy. You cannot stick these things just pin it and rock it. Oh I know been there done that but with apex's and rX's I used to carry a folding come along very light and can be used anywhere on the sled. it is a 3/4 ton with a folding handle and fits in a small bag in your pouch. My luck electric winch would use the battery up and then no start on the motor.
That is what I used to get this out

I had mine buried last year did the walk around did the rock did the heavy seat sit. . . Finally burned the belt a wee bit and she drove out. Heavy heavy snow fall and she was sitting on top could not burn her out until we hit rock bottom. Totally bought a winch pre season thought I would install it but damn it was heavy donated it to my club for a groomer
