anybody changed their hoods?

i was on a thread about a venture and was wondering if anybody had put that color hood on their sled. thought it would look different. u'd have to change the stickers or just order vector or rage stickers for it or just keep it stickerless. i think its the candy apple red color-kinda like the 05 rx1 style.

I was at the dealer the other day and they had a trade in vector with a lightweight clear hood with vector graphics it looked pretty neat.I gues they want a stock one so I'm going to see if they will do a trade.

I have a lightweight hood and pod on my RX for racing. It's smoke color, so somewhat see-through, but looks black from a distance.

it's a veeeery light setup.

I ordered this hood and windshield pod from Mountain Mod that Monker has the address for above. Murray was great to deal with and the hood looks fantastic. I'll take some pictures when it gets back from paint this weekend!

You mean similar to this hood? This is the '06 RS Vector Mtn SE. I allready have the red windshield on order from Port-Parts for my silver RX-1 mtn.

I'm doing exactly what you are talking about. After my deer hit last Feb. I had the shop order the candy red hood and tank shroud for my 05 Rage. Believe me when I tell you I'd love to post some pics of the make over but the parts saga continues . I'm in the 8th month still waiting for a bunch of parts from Yamaha .
