That sounds right. I was told by my dealer to put them on the grass, loosen the track so that it rachets in a hole shot. Then gradually tighten until it is just tight enough to where it doesnt slip or ratchet.

I have been told by my local dealer that Yami's have tighter fitting tracks compared to other OEM's, and that it may stretch as mileage increases. Is this true? On my old sleds (I wont name, because I will never buy their equipment again) I would typically get 1200-1500 miles.
Also, I am aware of a front wheel kit that is available to reduce the wear. Does anyone have these? Is there a significant improvement?
I have read the tips on this site for reducing hyfax wear. I will definately take the advice.
Is there a good way to improve this issue significantly for this machine? Am I the only one having this problem?
I appreciate any feedback and assistance. Think Snow!!!
Mine looked half gone at 500 miles, only wearing at the bend, they lasted another 2000, just looked very bad initially.

Hey guys, Your going to need to look for another set of wheels for it. I burned up 3 sets of slides in 200 miles. I used ski-doo 440 race wheel kit to fix the problem.

I dont think that is accurate for all people! Over six hundred miles and mine are fine. Another one of ours is over fifteen hundred miles and still has considerable wear left. Maybe you should find some snow to ride in!! lol

I have like 900 miles on mine. Every time I get it back from the dealer I'm gonna loosen it up. I have it to the point that it barely takes any pressure to pull it away from the slides it actually sags away an inch on it's own weight when you pull it in the air. Pretty worn to the front but good enough for now and as of yet can't get it to rachet. Full tilt on the bumps on tug hill and she still didn't rachet is good enough for me.
