Hey guys,
Im going to buying a 136" extension kit from Ulmer and I was wondering if you guys bought clutch kits for your Apex's after you extended your track/rails to 136"???
If so, what did you get?
If not, how does your sled run and perform? Still have good take off, etc.?
I have an '07 Apex RTX
Thanks in advance!!

It's not an Apex, but I did extend my '06 Nytro. Ulmer was able to tweak the clutch kit to work with the mods I did. Works great!!!!

From what I've read, it seems Ulmer has a great clutch set up! I have heard Dalton and Proline have a very competitive set up also.

Thanks guys!!
I bought a 136" by 2" Challenger off Ebay last week and bought the rail and tunnel extensions from Ulmer too. I might cut the challenger down to 1.75"...just because that would be plenty. 2" might be a little extreme, I just like how strong and sturdy the lugs are on the deeper lug tracks.
I have a stock 22 top gear on my Apex because its an RTX, so I predict that will be ok, and I wont loose much because its already geared so far down already.
Do you guys think my setup will be okay for the season? Stock clutch and 22 top gear?
ALSO, I have a buddy that has ski-doo 8 tooth extroverts, I was wondering if that will work with my 2" track, with the tunnel protectors taken off??
Thanks, you guys have been a big help!!
Ill get some pictures once I get done.

I have run many different setup with 136 and 144 setups. I foud gearing down to help the most and then clutch to it. I am running a 144" 1-1/2 on my Attak now with 22-40 gearing. Stock clutching I think the primary is a yellow pink yellow spring. It pulls great rpms and is perfect for walking out of the deep stuff. Depends what kind of riding you are doing, Ulmer can do about anything!
