My 05 shock actually touches the track when weigh is place on it. Had some trouble with studs and while fixing that problem noticed that down the middle of the track there was a rubbing mark. When I checked it without anyone sitting on it I had maybe 1/4 " clearance between the shock and track. When my wife sat on it [130 lbs soaking wet] the shock was actually flush with the track. Set-up is as follows... Spring preload set at 6, preload one mark from standard towards min., track deflection 1 2/8" or 1 1/4 " 22 lbs spring weigh in the middle. Track alinement 5/8" both sides [dead on]. I had the track orginally set for deflection at 1 1/8" which is the min. and decided that it was too tight. Spring perload at 5. perload standard setting. Would not have noticed this but for a problem when studding. The studs in the middle were hitting the top of the shock and made a loud chattering noise. Had to remove those. Anyone with an 05 RX1-ER if you get a chance to look under your sled at your suspension see what clearances you have [with and without weigh]and PLMK. Thnkx.

I also am pondering a question with my 03 RX1. Has anyone had any issues with the front tie rod end links comming loose or off? I was told it was due to non dealership scheduled maintenance. They said the 8mm x1.25 x45mm bolts bend causing clearance for spline shafts to freely move and allowing tierod links to seperate from skis causing a condition with no steering capability. Any response is welcome and greatly appreciated. Email-Katalinickcc@yahoo.com Thanks
