My dealer asked me if i heard any fixes for overheating on the Phazer..
He has two he has sold that have serious overheating issues..
My guess is bad coolant mix and lack of WATTERWETTER!!

Thats crazy to me welterracer, to have a dealer asking you if you had heard of any fixes. Maybe I am being mean but, holy crap cant the dealer do a little investigating? Sorry maybe I am just venting cause it makes me think of the first two crappy dealers I had!

Dealer have no where near the experience that the people on TY have..
They just dont see as many issues/problems as we do..
He has sold several other Phazers with no problems..

Welt, I had one instance this weekend with overheating. My antifreeze mixture is correct and I have installed digital water temp gauge so I can see exactly what the water temp is. At 211*F the indicator light came on and I kept on driving as the temp was not increasing and would drop down 4-5*F and then raise back up. This was while trying to keep up with some Apex & RX-1's and really driving the crap out of it down a service road with not alot of fluff on it. At the next open area I jumped off the trail into some fresh snow and it went down to 170-175*F and was no problem at all the rest of the weekend! Make sure there isn't ice covering over the radiator and as you said above that the coolant mixture is correct. Some waterwetter will never hurt either!

My phazer overheated when it was -10 degrees out on a smooth trail with plenty of snow. I thought I had lost antifreeze or something, but I figured out the whole tunnel and front heat exchanger was iced over and it wouldn't let fresh snow on it to cool it. It happened 3 more times that day. Had to put sled on its side and knock ice off of front heat exhanger. This is a bunch of crap. On warm days the water runs down on the tunnell all over and makes your feet wet. On cold and snowy days the tunnell ices up solid. Maybe I'll try snowshoeing instead. NOT!!!! Alright I'm back to reality. Still love the phazer

Brian, there are a couple of existing threads on this topic already in the Phazer forum. Suggest you read those and possibly print them out for your dealer.
