Anyone know where to get an OEM FX windshield?

I haven't seen them anywhere, not even on Yamaha's web site. All that they have is the colored/chrome ones, which are lower, and the medium/tall ones in clear. I wanted the GT windshield at first, which is the medium 18" one. But then I decided I don't want anything that high. Anyone know where to get the FX windshield? Or even possibly took one off of their FX that they'd be willling to sell?

I bought the base model, which didn't come with a windshield. If I could do it over, I would have got the FX. But I'm happy with the base model anyway.

we don't have the base model or the GT option here in Norway. Just the FX and that is OK with me. They have no more in stock anyway.

Think your wrong here, it's only the base model we are missing in Norway :tg:

Yes thats right but if you put it that way you can say we dont have any phazer options here in Norway :-o cause they are all sold out for this season ;)! Glad I got mine!

Do you know anyone who have the free ride track in store and what's the price here in norway?

I guess they didn't think that the base or GT model would sell in Norway, cause everybody wants to jump and do the ditch banging :tg:

I will order the freeride 136" on tuesday, somewhere... but I don't know where yet. Got to check it out man ;)!

Happy new year bu the way

I'm just thinking the same. More bang for the buck when buying a fx.

Duells have the free ride tracks in 121" 6500,- and 144" 7860,- 136" are missing on theyr list...

Motornorge also have camoplast tracks but I dont think anyone have the 136" track in store..

Maybe a little early to have tracks in that lenght in store because it's "custom" and require rebuilding of rails..

Think you should have talked to Oskar at yamaha-norway before you do that extension. I really dont think that he will recomend it.

Hmm why wouldn't he recommend it do you think ? Tracks-USA has the 136" in stock, and rail extensions also. CBP also has the 136" on their webshop.

Are we off topic now ? Did we steal the thread ? :-o

I talked to him when I was planning to extend my 121" sx viper to 136" because I needed some parts but he told me not to do this by adding rail extensions. Reason was that yamaha-scandinavia had done exactly that on many vipers (called viper TT) and a lot of this extended viper's had experienced cracked drive shafts. He told me the reason was when you compressed the "boggie" with this extension, track tension became way to tight and that this caused the damaged drive shaft.

He advised me to get a 136" "boggie" from another sled if I should extend my viper. Dont know if he's right on this issue but I know about some viper's and srx's who have damaged the drive shaft and they had all rails extensions...

OK I see. But the Phazer is a different sled, and I was also planning to use no-slip drivers so the track didn't have to be that tight. But I could try to check it out first maybe. I could drop a thread about it here also.

Yes you are right but I also know of a guy who extended his apex from 121" to 136" last year because yamaha was sold out of warriors. He bought rails from the warrior but he also needed to change some other suspension parts to have this extension to work in the right way.
