I noticed they sit a bit lower at the tips of the skis. I was wondering if anyone had to shim theirs to bring the tips up or did they just leave them alone?

I used a set of Bergstrom shims and the tips went wayyyy too high so I just left them as is.

Also did you guys just install them or did you set the toe-in or toe out?

ThanX

;)!

I've got em on my 04, i was thinking about getting the toe a little bit higher too but i have yet to do so and i've been running them for 2 years now... Other than going through 4 carbides instead of 2 in about the same amount of time and dropping 150 to replace them all...I love em

I had them on a 03 RX1 back in 03. I used them as is and loved them. I set them up dead on, no toe in or out.

That's what I still have. i also didn't do anything. I love them, but the wear pattern on the carbides, at least with my 136 and limiter strap set up is sligthly towards the front.

Incidentally, one of the best things that I did to my sled. Excellent skis.

For those w/ the Prevcision skis on their Yamahas, did you need any special mounting hardware/kits? I have the skis (w/ loops), metal plates on top of the skis (with bushings). I bought them used. What additional or different hardwared would I need to mount them on my '07 Attak? Can I use the factory rubber ski bumpers? Thanks

Steve, hard to think back that far to tell the truth, but I think that you needed primarily everything that came in the Doo mounting kit, which would have included the rubber pieces that you speak of.

When I first installed them the skis were dead level when off the ground. I also noticed that the fronts of the carbides were wearing out much quicker then the back (about 70% front 30% back) from the guy who had them before.

I follow Bergstroms advice on this and he says that the front of the carbides should be about a 1/4" off the ground when the sled is sitting. Mine weren't so I ended up putting a 3/8" shim under the back of the rubber.

Now when the sled is on my stand the tips are up in the air about 2.5" from level when the skis are OFF the ground and about 1/4" when sitting.
