anyone with turbo viper blowing belts?

Well LA DE DA aren't you lucky and romantic lol Just playing. Thats wicked you are able to get out this much!

I had about 2000km on my 8JP (1500km were stock, 500km turboed). Even with clutching I couldn't get consistent WOT RPM's and speeds with the 8JP, so I swapped to a Ultimax Carlisle equivalent to the 8DN. I have about 2000km on this belt and not even a mark on it so far.

Haha hey I have too kiss #*$&@ at least once a year:moon:

Ok... last year there was a tread going " anyone who hasn't had starter problems " and I jumped in and said "Me" and the next ride pow I blew my starter!!
Yesterday this tread starts and I jump in and say"no problems " and today pow blew my belt to shereds ripped all the foam off the side panel and made just a god offal mess of everything.... lol... I quit on these little surveys.:dunno::o|

Really!!! Man that sucks

Do they have a gates carbon for you guys with yammy clutches?....I got about 2600kms on my gates belt and it grips hard, no dust yet and will flatten out my snow flap pretty much any time i dip off trail. Im impressed so far, last cat belt had little over 6000kms on it tho so it seems to be easy on belts

I checked the site but they don't ship to my address ( canada)
I looked for a supplier around here with no luck....
I'd like to try this belt for the hell of it

I've also used that belt with great luck. Just ordered another one off eBay for $88 free shipping. The one I had just started to peel apart some on me (didn't blow) and that was with 1500+ all turbo miles so pretty pleased with that.

Make sure everyone realizes that different belts affect clutching and drivability. Nothing wrong with different belts but if your sled changes personality prepare for more clutching.

Very true, with this belt I actually had 2 remove 3 grams of tip weight. No big deal it just sticks better

Marc, I think I read on another thread that you are from the Sudbury area. If so, try Napa on Notre Dame. That is where I got my Gates belt for my Outlander. I plan on switching mine over to the 8dn this summer which from the looks of this weather, may start any day now.
