I am trying to compare the track lenght of the old 121 apex to the new 128. Amount of extra track on ground and amount of extra lugs?

It's well worth going to 128" track if you are looking for a replacement track and improved traction. Why do you think Yamaha went this route with 2011 Apex? I believe you are looking at an additional 4" of track length contacting the snow..

Not looking for a replacement track. I want to compare how much extra track and lugs that the apex 128 will have over the previous 121.

With a 2.52 pitch there are 3 more lugs and 7.5 inches more track. You should have a little over 3 more inches of track on the ground.

So if 3 inches more on ground then you would have 1 extra lug on ground?
