Apex chaincase

Hey guys wondering about the ol' chaincase in the apex I changed the oil and checked the tension but I've been getting different answers on the proper oil level the dipstick has a std mark and a Rev mark I've always filled to the Rev mark thinking because it has reverse but the oil amount in the manual puts it at the std mark so any input would be appreciated !!!!!

I fill mine to the line right in the middle of the 2. Never had a problem doing that. I have heard to use 8oz. of fluid but the way I do it works for me. I even took it apart last years to do a track change and there was zero signs of any wear.

I just add 8oz. put it in the std area.

I would imagine there are a lot wondering this yamaha has used the same dip stick seance before snowmobiles didn't have engines

from what iv seen rev mark is not enough oil it ia actually half of what supposed to be in there 250 ml or 8.5 oz i think, should say on belt guard
