apex clutch unknown

If you look in the tech section you will see Yammi used two different part #'s for the same 51-43 helix, depending on the year. For reference, the stock 51-43 helix measures out to, and acts more like a 48-42. The washers will prevent coil bind like Steiner said, and may net you a couple miles an hour extra in absolute perfect conditions.

not worth just shimming helix, leave alone or put complete clutch kit in:sled2:
 
Why not shim. Stops the coil bind letting the secondary work more efficiently. Can't hurt can it??
 
never herd or experienced a " coil bind" problem, shimming just looks and sounds like a cheap backyard way to gain probably nothing
 
ya coil bind on a cut primary were talking about the orignal post , everthing stock except washers behind helix , no good , especially when stud aint all the way throgh your lock nut when shimmed
 
Ya Def don't want my secondary blowing apart it's going back the way it should be !
