Hey guys, what are the rear skid differences between the 2 skids? Are the shocks valved differently? I ride alot of groomed trails but occasionaly like to launch it whenever I can... :D What sled is better for this.

90% groomed and 10% rough stuff...will the ER be OK or should I go with the RTX? I like the colors of the RTX too ;)!

The Attak is kind of out of the picture as I just don't want the extra 25Lbs.

I was told that they would be calibrated the same with the only difference being the front shocks. Common sense tells me that the RTX will be stiffer :ORC
Forget about the 25 more pounds with the Attak and just get one. It's gonna be lighter and handle better then the RX-1 you had :ORC

Between the ER and RTX I would say get the one that looks the best to you - as I don't think there will be all that much difference in the suspensions. I bought the RTX because I didn't care for the black side panels and the blue hood on the ER. IF the whole front of the ER was blue (like an SRX) I probably would have gotten it. I prefer the front having all one color like the RTX or GT.

I am on a 2005 SD Renegade right now....dry weight is booked @ 489Lbs. When I test rode the Apex's and Attak.....I have to admit...I noticed the weight differences right away especially after putting 2300KMs on my REV the week before. You can really "throw" a REV around if you need or want to especially when they are in the air ;)! .

I found the new Yamaha sleds to be very nimble and light "feeling" compared to the 2005 RX1 they had there. However, compared to a REV...well Yamaha still has to drop some weight before you could throw a 4-stroke around the way you can a REV.

I AM NOT COMPLAINING....but...I am not comparing it to my 2003 RX1 becuase that machine is long gone....my comparison is to my REV which you honestly do feel the weight difference. Doesn't matter though...I am still OK with it and I am happy to back on a 4-stroke. But to me....why add 25Lbs just to get a longer track and better hookup? To me it's not worth it because 25Lbs is alot (gets to be more when you add the 50Lbs of ice buildup)......that's IMHO.

PS>.....I don't really think the FOX floats are that big of a deal...they are neat but I am not convinced they are "better" than traditional spring shocks. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

DOWN TO 2 CHOICES NOW....... LaLaLa The RTX is ahead ;)!
