Jason, including tax you are about $15,180 including tax and a $1,000 less than list selling price. All in Canuck bucks. Quite honestly the high profits in Canada are there to offset the aggressive pricing campaign in the U.S.
Jason you can buy an 06 sled for less money from a dealer than a Canadian dealer can buy it from Yamaha. the dealers are not making the exhorbitant profits it is Yamaha.
Forget the BS about Free Trade and Exchange rate we are getting raped up here.

rapped is the word....you can say that again. I don't see why the prices are so much higher here. I would love to discuss it with someone from Yamaha Canada. Some one should email the President of Yamaha Canada. I'm sure I read somewhere that prices are higher here because of tarriffs the Canada goverment placed on Imported products from Japan. Its included in the price and passed on to the consumer. Thats why you never hear about it. The US is the biggest importer of Japanse manufactured goods. Japan would go broke if it wasn't for the US. So I'm sure they can be more competitive in the US market based on the relationship on trade between Us and Canada. I will pick up a used Apex in a couple of year for $7,000 or less. I will let someone else take the hit.

Whats stopping a fellow TY'er from picking up a new sled in the US and selling it to a Canadian? Any laws against that?

I think it would still be way cheaper. Hopefully they will have this problem sorted out by 07. I won't hold my breath!
