I truly believe the Apex will beat a setup RX-1 if the Apex is also dialed in. Like I said my brothers sled which we got dialed in real good handed it to the Apex every time. Studs would have helped the Apex but he wouldn't have beat him.
I'm talking stock for stock, out of the box. My sled had no aftermarket stuff on it and neither did the Apex. Every time I got a jump on the Apex, the Apex got me. Even a side by side start at a standstill or midrange, the Apex got me again. I had my sled topped out and the Apex caught me and passed me.

Not so fast there buddy, word has it your RX-1 is a dog and if that's the case your experiance wouldn't be a good parameter to make a judgement now would itimpalapower said:[

Doggone it Mighty, don't give it all away.
Just because I have only been riding sleds since February and weigh nearly 400 lbs doesn't mean you have to pick on me. Some of the faults can go to the sled too. My track was too tight, the belt had nearly 7000 miles on it, the oil was never changed and I was running fuel from my Model T that has been sitting in storage for nearly 10 years.
What can I do to get a break around here?

Well you can't be far behind Mighty, you sit in front of the puter a lot too ya know.
Well, let me add my .02 I was there that day on the lake too. My 04 warrior is ALL stock, the only thing it had done was the spark plugs were changed and simmons skis put on. No studs, no jetting, no clutching, and no gearing. My sled had around 900 miles on it then and up to that point had never lost a race to any 4-stroke that didnt have a turbo or N2O. It now has around 1600 miles on it and that RTX is still the only sled to go by it on the big end and that includes 05 RX-1's with jetting/filters/clutching/gearing/ etc... But hey, I dont care about top end anyway. I will race ya to the Top though ===SRXSRULE===

With NGK's CR10EK dual electrode plugs supertuner was able to show a true 2 hp gain on the dyno. Many have also reported better throttle reponse with those plugs.crs2fer said:I'm a guessin them are some pretty wicked plugs you put in.........and some pretty slippery skis! LOL
Actually, simmons will hurt top end. The spark plugs DO work. My sled is just one of the few stockers that runs very well. ===SRXSRULE===

The C&A's are the same. they kill top end because they are so big.

Jason, glad to hear that sled is fast. I just hope you guys didn't beat it too bad. Maybe when you get your Attacks we can race them at a TY ride. . Then you will know for sure.
