Apex - MCX Questions ?

I know everyone is waiting for both of these products to come out but i have a few questions regarding them. I am planning a Apex Mtn with the new MCX turbo running 12psi on pump and not making it any more than the advertised HP, he he.

1. Other than the sled and turbo kit what else is needed. I figured clutch weights, boost, air/fuel, fuel press guages, guage bracket. Anything else ?

2. How hard is it to dial in a turbo kit like this ? Will i be constantly playing with it to make it work the way it is meant to work ? I realize with the fuel injection it will make some of the carb issues and such easier and more friendly, correct ?

3. Are there any issues such as headers cracking, scavenge pumps etc that can possibly plague a high tech machine like this. I realize MCX makes a great kit but looking for real world answers. I like to dial in a sled then ride.

4. Anything else i should be aware of before jumping into it.

My impression is that all the tuning required that gave some of us fits on the older carb models (pilot jet , main jet , needle position , float level ,vent seals ,etc .) Will be gone with fuel injection.- Plug in and go . That's my hope any way .

#1 That should be everything you need.

#2 Should be very easy to tune in as my rx-1 was.Very close to stock jetting was used and works great.

#3 Fuel injection is new to the apex and should work even better than the carb which work's good. Fuel injection is not new to MCXPRESS

Rideability

What do you think the rideability will be like with 260 HP. Will it be a point and shoot machine or do you think it will be a decent boondocker as well. Does anyone have any ideas about how this machine will be with the MCX turbo say compared to the RX1 turbo when it comes to rideability ?

The handling is night and day, stock to stock.

Slymax i understand that they are very different machines but how do you think the Apex will be with the turbo. I didn't get a chance to demo. How do you find your Vector with turbo when it comes to boondocking ? Just curious.

I found my Vector to be the best boondocking sled I've owned. You can really turn the track without having to use full throttle and manuever through tight situations. Also, the additional power comes in handy when sidehilling.

Have to agree with Turbo Vector, my Vector is awesome, the power is incredible and really helps when you are about to get stuck. The driveability of these 4 strokes is awesome, the midrange power is something a 2 stroke driver cannot comprehend. I have had situations where I have been able to drive my RX1(last sled) and Vector out of a stuck situation that my 2 strokes would never have done. One guy rode my Vector last year and got it stuck, he couldn't believe it when my son was with him and hopped on and just punched it and drove it out. Horsepower helps too.
