Does anybody know how to get rid of the drone without spending a lot of money? Thanks in advance for any help out there!

I took of the stock exhaust pipes coming out on the sides and welded the outlet shut. then install the same size outlet out of the stock muffler pointing forward into the tunnel. This made the sled super quiet and gives you full use of the tunnel for storage etc.
PM me a email address if you want pictures.

before doing any mods to your exhaust..check regulations..here in quebec ..we can do anything we want...but dont touch the exhaust...this is a fine and the snowmobile is removed from the trail..yes on a flatbed.there is no acception..and they check.Pipes are the reason why we lost our trail ..it ran all the way north..and straight......use to go up there for lunch..now lucky to get there in 5 hours..noise doesnt mean power...lol..

Was the new outlet you installed the equivalent size to the 2 outlets in the stock configuration? Does the stock muffler need to be gutted for this to work?
Pics would be great!

On this mod you just cut of the side outlet of the muffler and put the same size outlet underneath into the tunnel.
I did not gut the muffler at all although there may be guys doing that.
the exhaust gas goes forward with the rotation of the track and while riding that is like a secondary muffler. The longer the pipe extends into the muffler the quieter it will be, so you can tailor make its sound-output to your like.
Going down the trail and in deep snow this thing is super quiet.
I usually use the sled a lot for sled skiing and it is the only sled that you can barely hear climbing at wide open throttle with 2 persons on while skiing.
not sure how to get a soundclip on here.
