My apex has no power going to anything, I turn the key on and nothing. I have just finished soldering the Ground wires in the 2 ground boxes above the Cdi connection. I can arc out the solonoid and the engine cranks over but I dont have a fuel pump , I am repairing this sled. I am missing the speedo Cluster. I bought this sled with alot of damages. I just finished installing a waterpump and a small rad. The sled has been sitting for a whole summer out doors I am wondering if anyone can point me to some more possible solutions or things to try. I figure the relays are shot! Help me out please the more input the better these are the 2 ground boxes that I soldered.

What shape is the kill switch in? If the switch is engaged/broken there will be nothing at the key.

I believe you need to have the instrument cluster to power up the sled. I had the cluster off one time and tried turning over sled and nothing would happen.

I had the sled running, The 40 amp fuse was blown and i never noticed it ! So I had her started without any coolant in the machine and when I added antifreeze the sled wont start anymore! I believe the head gasket is gone and the coolant rail on the head has coolant leaking out . When I crank over the sled The system is pressurizing alot, Way more than 15psi! Can Anyone direct me to a place to start tearing this apart!

buddy had the xact same problem. he was going nuts. he found there is a place in the harness, i canr remeber where he said it was now but diagram should show you. anyway there is a part in the harness where all the grounds join together and it was coroded , i know he had to disect the harness good to find it.

did it start before you soldered the ground blocks?
toggle the kill switch a couple times
ans lets start real simple, is the harness connected to the key switch? are connectors seated firmly in starter solenoid?

I tested the stator and its way over resistance. I am going to order a new one from quebec for 130 bucks. It has a year warranty so its worth a shot.

I'm having trouble following your progress.
So you got the sled running after replacing the 40amp fuse. You then added coolant and the sled didn't start so you assume head gasket is bad.
If the head gasket has an external leak it will foul out the plug in which ever cylinder is receiving coolant. Sled should still run on other cylinders. Also, if there is in internal leak the coolant will find its way into the oil and oil will become milkey.
If head gasket has an external leak the sled will still run fine.
You mention stator being bad...did you pull the spark plugs, ground them and crank to check for spark?

Yeah pretty confusing eh! I do have an external leak coming out the top of engine on coolant line. Is it normal when ya crank over the engine for the cooling system to pressurize without starting? The sled did start for me but ran really rough when I first tried it, but the day after, I tried it again and it wouldn't even offer to go. so I checked the stator resistance. It is way out of resistance. The pickup coil is within spec but generator is way out.
If you are getting pressure in the cooling system while cranking the engine over then I would suspect you have a bad head gasket letting compression go into the cooling system. Would be interesting to see the sparkplugs

If the pick-up coil is in spec then the motor will fire providing the battery has a good charge even if the generator is faulty.
I suspect your stator is not the source of your problem and would hold off on ordering a new one.
If sled has been sitting awhile perhaps it had some bad gas and caused the plugs to foul out. Did you check them for spark as I mentioned earlier? The spark should be a small blue spark. If it is a white spark the plug is fouled.

As far as your coolant leak...is it leaking right where the metal coolant tubes go into the head between the spark plugs? Often times water will lay in the pocket and can cause corrosion. The joint is sealed by just an o-ring. Remove the pipe, inspect the o rings and check for corrosion that would not allow a good seal.

Yes that is the spot where it is leaking. I removed the metal coolant pipe and there is a lot of corrosion. I have not had the plugs out of the machine . I am having trouble removung the plug caps, this is the first time I ever had to work on a 4 stroke sled and am not familiar with it. Its not as simple as the Srx.

It was an eye opening expeirence for me the first time I changed plugs on my Attak. I think it took me 2 hours of removing and installing parts. My old Viper would take 5 minutes. Open hood and replace plugs. Done!
Turn the plug caps back and forth to loosen them up abit. Then pull up and wiggle back and forth until the pop out. You may use gentle pressure from a small pry bar to help you pop them out. When reinstalling use some dielectric grease on the sealing areas of the plug caps to aid in removing them for the next time.
