As for shock re-valving...I have found that by having all stock adjustments set as stiff as possible (preload, etc), you get more flexibility from the MonoShock remote adjustment knob. MAX HARD will practically NEVER bottom out. MAX SOFT still very soft (but this also affects "sit in" and makes you sit lower) and bottoms easily. I set my dial three settings back from MAX HARD and I get a smooth ride over small stutters, yet a firm but absorbent ride (without bottoming) over larger 1' + bumps.
The bottom line is that I have found shock revalving unnecessary with the proper setup.
