Apex rear radiator protector

I studded my apex over the weekend, I saw the stock tunnel protectors and figured they wouldn't put them on unless they worked lol. Any way I dinged up the rear radiator, I bolted on some extra hyfax I had, about 10" or so strips and roughly 7/8" thick on top if the protectors on the rear cooler.

Will this be enough to protect it? I put 5 miles on it afterwards and there are no holes but I don't want any surprises.

I think that is enough seems most are useing 3/4 to 1 inch so you are right on the money where you are at.
