Is it a big job to put apex or nytro seat on an rx1? Thinking about seat and handle bar up grade. Anybody have any pics of theres and was it worth the money.Alot cheaper than new sled lol Thanks

Alot have done this and it sounds like it is not that bad. I think the hardest part is trimming up the gas tank cover to fit the new seat. Look under FAQ in 4-stroke forum, Kinger has a good post on this.

Thanks for the posts. All I need now is to find a seat. Is the nytro seat and apex seat the same? I love the idea of having a place to put things again, like a tow rope for the boys lol... What is the tallest riser you can put before you have to longer cables??? Thanks Again

Apex Gt seat is more soft and not as tall as the nytro seat, also it has a different wiring harness so you have to swap it out like I showed in the FAQ. The nytro seat is taller and firmer and the harness plugs right in assuming your getting that with the seat.

Tallest risor is said to be 2" however I was not comfortable with the stretch at full turn on the 2" isovibe risor so I bought longer brake line, throttle cable from a 05 mountain RX1 and Choke from the same sled. The e-brake gets awful tight but I may end up removing that in favor of the lever that uses the regular brake, not sure yet.

I've decided to do this mod to my RX-1. My only question now is how much of a riser did you guys use who did this. I'm 6'2" or so with the boots on and the worst thing with the stock set-up (even with 2" of additional foam in the seat) has been the transition to standing. Is 3" about right?

And if you use a jig saw dont hit the gas tank. I had to buy a new one! :o| The riser i have i think is 3 or 4" ;)!

I already thought of that and plan on using a small cut off wheel or knife.
