Yes. Just swapped mine with Gadethrasher, and it rides just like the Bosss I have on my Viper. Viper_Dave is VERY happy
. I go 300lbs. all suited up, and the stock seat would pack down in a few miles. Now my knees and hips stay at the same level, and my back feels much better
.

That's right. The Apex RTX and Nytro seats are more firm. I'm quite a bit lighter than Viper_Dave. So on a long ride my tushy would get quite sore. I like the softer seat much better.
But to answer your question - Yes the RTX and Nytro seats are much firmer.

Gade, was going to call you Saturday, but I didn't have your number with me. Rode about 50 miles on Saturday in Tomahawk. Seat is perfect for me. Hope your happy as well. Exhaust is repaired and with the new seat, I didn't want to stop riding LOL. THANKS!!

Much firmer and much nicer IMO.
The soft seat feels nice at first, but after 4+ hours of riding on rougher trails everyone I ride with finds their behind is getting sore from the totally compressed seat. After 8+ hours they're all complaining.
I have the same complaint with the soft seat.
With the RTX, the seat feels almost too firm at first, but after 4 hours I'm still comfortable and after 8-12 hours of riding I'm still looking for more. Over time the seat conforms to you and it never collapses like the regular seat does.
Unless someone is looking to ride only a couple of hours at a time, I can't see why anyone would want the softer seat.

Ok, so lets say someone has either one for sale on E-Bay. How can you tell one from the other, I would like a RTX seat, because I agree my Apex er's seat is too soft.

I know that the 07' RTX seat is all black. No color stripe on the side.

Hmmmmm, I just got back from doing some very good riding the past 3 days. My biggest gripe is the softness of the seat. 06 RTX. I was just going to do a search for Boss Seats and saw this topic right up top.

mountain seats are stiff. i go 300 probably fully dresses and i so far like the softer one better.

My 06 ntro seat is a little too firm for me. But I only weigh about 165lbs with all gear on. I rode Brian's(Welterracer) Apex GT at Houghton and that's the first thing I noticed, his seat is alot more comfortable to me.

I might consider trading my soft seat for a firm...... mine is black with grey stripe........

Mine is black, with a blue stripe. That probably wouldn't look too good on your sled. Otherwise, I might consider that.
