Apex skis on older sled?

What would be needed to make a set of stock Apex skis fit on an older Phazer or Exciter?

I did it on my 95 Vmax, I bought 06 Apex skis and I just used a Dremel multi-tool and notched out the area so I could get full original motion out of it. Looks great.

Some time around 2000 they changed the height of the spindle/ski saddle. After that I don't believe there are any big issues.
