What should be the track tension be on a 06 Yamaha apex gt is this to lose I have no tools all I'm doing is putting the #*$&@ of the sled up in the air and measure from the slider to the track I have 1"1/8

That looks a little on the loose side. I think the Yamaha spec is with 20lbs hanging from the track the gap is 3/4".
As long as you are not ratcheting its all good.

1" and 3/4 im new to the apex Bc I ran a f7 cat were u can run the track looser

I find the best track tension on all my sleds is to adjust the tension so the top of the lowest drive lug is just flush with the bottom of the sliders when the track is hanging.
Just a little tighter then the pic in post #4
Works for me.

I run mine with at least an 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 with no weight dangling from the center of the track.

I get zero ratcheting and so far so good, season 3 or 4 on my slides as well. Yamaha's suspension specs are way off, no need to run your track that tight at all imo.

I hade my track at 1" 1/8 it seem really lose to me

Did/does it ratchet? If not, then you have nothing to worry about imo.

Hard to tell from this pic, but I am not B.S. you or anyone else, been mentioned on here numerous times by many peeps.

Bad choice of words on my part, wasn't accusing you of saying I was.

You shouldn't run into problems but be sure to carry the proper tools just in case you need to do a trail side adjustment.
Lots on here have adjusted theirs until they hear ratcheting then tighten up slightly until it disappears.

It's at 3/4 right now what if I run it on 1" would that be ok

I don't want to say with 100% certainty that it will be ok as it isn't my sled and I have no idea the condition of your drivers,, but I would think 1" of free fall at it's lowest point on the track would/should be fine..imo.

Like I mentioned, carry a small ratchet, socket, extension with you in case you need to adjust it trail side if you don't have a place to test it before you head out.
