apex true speeds

slp cold air intake, polar atttac clutch and 24 top tooth. otherwise completely stock. the sled was still gaining speed everytime when we ran out of realestate. i think it's pretty good for 3000'. i can run faster than my buddy with a yamacharger, that's why i'll keep it stock. my buddy runs 121.3mph with a yamacharger.

I hit 126mph with a stock Apex once, but the guy holding the gun was running towards me. Does that still count??

proof is always in the pudding. if you said it happened, it happened. i always try to show people my results, good or bad. i got smoked by a new cat turbo yesterday in 1/4 mile. i couldn't get tractions off the line and he pulled me by 10 machine lengths and i couldn't gain on him. he later told me that he had a turbo programmer and he had it on 265hp setting. i laughed and said that's a fair go. haha. he left after the first race so we couldn't line'em up again. i think it would've been a close race if i could've got traction that's to say i've also given up 115hp disadvantage. i guess it'd be like me racing a new skidoo ace, they have 60 hp don't they? mmmm that's a no brainer. lol.

22 tooth. my stock apex came with a 23 tooth. my motor seems to make good power that's why i went to a 24 tooth.

I think all the 06 Apex's came with a 24 tooth on top. The Attak had a 23. 07 RTX wen't to a 22 With all other Apes's and Attaks at 23.

Local radar runs tomorrow. Hoping to see a few fast Yammy's.

speed

2007 apex er with yamcharger with gearing, good clutching,132 mph on radar. We were pushing for 135 but the speed track split on the lenght wise.Did some damage to the front cooler, all is good now,we tried it this week,126 mph on radar on an icy road. This motor has 20,000 kms and she pulls hard.

know that's the speeds i would think you should get when installing a yamacharger. i'd be pissed if my sled went 130 or less. my buddy had an 07 apex and all he could get was 126mph with nos. i've almost caught him with a stocker. the clutching is everything with these sleds, they have the power and torque. now you have to get it to the ground.
i almost forgot don't forget about the long track. more traction means better launching ability.

without a picture, from what I am seeing for top speeds, someone wouldn't believe me. So I am going to have to go to a lake for a photo,
( maybe video)

But just for the record how many people have seen 140 MPH or 150 MPH on the DREAM METER.

I tested a lot of set ups, different primary/secondary springs, helix, tested thousands of $$$$ in weights, shims, Here is a picture of some of my parts I tested, That are not in use at this time, all good stuff must would run.

Personally, 0 to 50 does nothing for me. I love the pull of my YAMACHARGER at 100 MPH.

I've read now that an 06 RTX has a 22, 23 and 24 gear. Can anyone confirm before I take mine apart? I'd like to buy the gear ahead of time before I start the job.
Is there a post on the procedure?
Thanks
Will
