What MPH are you getting out of your Apex

ok just did a top speed pass 115-116 on the speedo and then tried a modded air box lid sounds great but speed was the same 115-116 my sled is a 2007 apex ER with studs everything stock except the air box lid which didn`t change the speed.

Most speeds that I am seeing here range from 112-117 GPS. I thought at first mine was just a lemon becuase I was only getting 98-105 on GPS, 120 max on speedo depending on the conditions, but when I asked several other Apex owners in my area they said thats all they were getting, even sometimes less!
So are all of these sleds heavily modded to get these speeds? We are running around 10ish mph slower on gps here, thats huge!

the 112-117 was that on bare ice/dusting of snow? and is that near stock,if so you are very fast for the rtx apex,at least 07 and newer rtx,my 07 rtx no studs brand new with 300 rr bed miles,ran 112 gps down its83 in caribou,but on glare ice on perfect conditions only 113 gps,and i even geared up to 23/38 and no change on bare ice,but lost speed on snow.

one thing you must factor in is your body weight. guy like myself at 6'5" and 300lbs is gonna have at least a 5-7 mph slower then a guy at 200 lbs. a few years ago on hard pack plowed lane i couldnt get my 05rx1 faster then 99 mph on radar. i let a 140 guy try and he recorded a 106 mph. so weight is a big factor

Its not weight as much as wind resistance,i bet you are a much bigger target than anyone 140#,my buddy and i are both short,and can tuck in behind a large windshield preety good,given that,i was giving up 120lbs to him at the time,i was 280lbs at the time,and we ran same speed on perfect conditions,but where the weight does come in,is take off,lighter guys can launch and accelerate much faster than a heavy weight,but once up to speed,both can be same,if the wind drag is the same.

03 rxi studded and clutched only,117 gps 1/2 mile ice.
06 attak studded ice/snow 1/2 same studded/clutched 114 gps
06 apex studded/clutched geared down to 23 top 117 ice,111 snow gps.
06 apex rtx 118 gps ice 2 miles,all stock,96 studs.
06 apex same as above on race track,2,000 ft. 116 gps.
06 apex gt same track 112 than 115 gps.
07 apex rtx 113 ice,112 snow,all stock gps.
07 apex gt hard rr bed 111 gps studded,and clutched,and bare ice,no lube 110 gps,day i sunk it.
08 pol. FST dragon turbo,last weekend on plowed rd. 2 miles 109 gps,looked like it would of caught on fire,and burnt to the ground,turbo,pipe and can cheery red,oh its traded in now on another apex.

Sueprcharged I have seen 150's on the speedo and around 130's on GPS, on a snow covered lake, haven't been on ice yet.
