Finally had a chance to ride these 2 sleds back to back. I thought they were both excellent machines. One surprise I did have is the Attak did not hook up any quicker than the Apex. I would have guessed the Attak would be faster out of the hole. Both of them did throw a lot of snow out the back end and neither had picks. My wifes 600 Ski Doo seemed to launch as well as the Yami's. Has anyone else had the same experience with the Apex & Attak? :?:

all i know is my GT with the weight transfer set at full HOOKS LIKE A MUTHA Fer.. LOL

Everyone i ride with cannot belive how hard it hooks from a dead stop..

It pulls the skis 2 inches and holds them to 100mph on the dreammeter..

finally got my rtx to hook up and my bro on his attack cant get me now!!!! ;)!

I gotta believe with comparable set-ups, the longer track will hook more aggressively. More track - more bite. From what I've read, the Attak gets the holeshot most often.

What are you guys with shorties doing for good holeshot? I have the transfer set to a little past max. I checked the limiter and it looks like it is already about 3/4 out. It seams to hook pretty good but not as much skilift as my RX.

i tightened my limiter strap one notch to stop the ski lift on holeshot

anyway to get rid of skilift in corners YET still have transfer rod setup fully for good hookup/holeshot?....this would be on a RTX...i have the floats lowered pretty well so arms are flat (parallel to ground) which seems to make it corner flattest...

thinking of a 13mm swaybar.

thanks
Dan

What pressure is everyone running in there floats, i saw a few people that were runnin 50psi, which to me makes no sense, i havent even though about droppin mine bellow 100, 120psi seems to be my sweet spot, but i ride really agressive.

holy cow!,no wonder u have skilift, set mine at 65psi(many others also) and i feel no jitters in the bars...make sure u guys lift the front of the sled with a lift, then set your floats when they are off the ground ;)!

two guys I ride with have GT's, I have an Attak. All machines are studded. I can beat both out of the hole 5 out of six times. Trading sled both agreed the Attak hooks up on hard pack much better.

If i were to ride my sled with 65psi i would either roll over, or bottom out every time i hit a mogal, not that im heavy just ridin style. 120psi actually makes the sled handle really good, ive tried all the pressures and ive found anything under 100psi make the thing want to roll, and over 125psi it wants to push, and becomes tippy. Those are results without the 13mm bar though.

Dan you will never get rid of the ski-lift, if you have the transfer rod set at max. You have to set the transfer rod to min and tighten the limiter strap, then it becomes pretty stable. There is no happy medium. Just a adjust accordingly. If you know you are running lakes all day and radar running, then leave it how it is. But if you know you are goiing trail riding, then just set the transfer rod to min. It's a huge improvement, without even tightening the limiter strap.
