Apex vs Rev. Yes again!!!

Just wait for the 130 hp Exciter in the Phaser chassis.

Also,I am not a Doo fan, but with their much larger market share there are bound to be a higher number of guys coming to Yami than Yami to Doo. Also, A lot of Doo riders were Cat and Poo. It would be interesting to see a survey of brand ownership over the last 4 years.

Once again I am not a doo fan. But my friends all have doos and they are reliable probally the best in the two strokes. I think Ill just wait for the next best thing 130-140 hp four stroke under 500 lbs, or else im going doo cause I like pounding the bumps, with a light sled, with a better warrenty, and more miles on a tank. I love yammys the most but IMO the apex is not as complete a package. And for the record call a dealer in Canada and see the price of a new Attack is for yourself. The exra 4 grand is worth alot of oil and a few rebuilds.

What are you talking about.... An 800 X is 13,800.00. An RTX is the same in Canada or less. I owned a REV and unless you have the balls to jump it 15 plus feet every second of your ride, the REV 800 is second to the Apex. The Apex rules in flat out fast, fast trail riding. But mark my word, you will put in at least 1 set of pistons and rings in it.....

Nor are you getting the quality. Keep in mind the cost of the oil you will have to keep buying for the 2 smoke. I was not going to respond but I just could not take it any longer. Why would someone come on here and make comments that if Yamaha does not do this or that I am gone to Ski-Doo? If you feel that way just go and do not come back. We are here as a group to share information and help each other. If we want to here bashing we could go to another site. We just do not need the bashing here.

Just go away!

Vector.

The advertisements if I remember correctly did not specify which four stroke would get 20 mpg

I know that they didn’t say that my attack would get 20, but the dealers that I talked to and the people that I ride with rx1's all told me how they get such great mileage and 20 kept coming up so it was kinda disappointing when the revs were getting the same or better mileage and it was no ware near 20 more like 14 for me. I still wouldn’t trade my sled to another brand yet, but maybe the 3 cylinder next

You know, that was kinda bitter, but in a way I agree. I think that if you're comparing how fast you can pound a sled down a rough trail, it will come down to who has bigger nuts. Take your RX1/Apex and turbo it. Unstoppable. I bleed blue, but I came from Cat. I have eaten REVS all day, but I'll also step off the Apex and onto a V-Max 4 and do the same... Only thing is... sometimes the 'ol 800 takes short cuts through the brush to catch a rev in the twisties!! Just don't stir the pot bud!!

Ok I did not think I bashed the Apex in anyway just stated the facts IMO. Right now in Slave lake Alberta I can get a 800 renagade for 12200 taxes in. My local dealer wants 16195 taxes in. For the record nobody dislikes revs more than me. I bleed blue. Does anyone agee that the Apex and the rev are in different catagories? IMO Yamaha needs a 140hp sled under 500lbs to beat the rev at its own game. I really wasent trying to bash the apex. I just think its not head to head with the rev, its more advanced in many areas I belive. But when it comes to hiting the trail and I run out of gas before the rev does and have two of my best friends hounding me about it that really sucks. I just think Yamaha can and will improve in these factors. Hopfully a twin 1000 in the phazer chassis or a supercharged 750. Hey we are allowed to wish right?
