Need some assistance. After replacing bad starter I’m re-installing everything and cannot figure out where the large black lead (coming off the negative cable) goes. Does this ground to frame? I took this machine apart about 3 months ago and old age hasn’t allowed me to remember how to reassemble! Thanks.

Are you referring to negative jumper wire that goes along with the positive jumper wire and are used to jump start the Apex?

No, there's another wire tied to the negative battery cable that goes somewhere. I think it may just ground to the frame or starter? I removed the starter to replace and this one sits beneath the battery compartment so I assume it came out with one of the starter bolts when I removed it but I'm not entirely sure. Thanks for the response!

Correct, the main lead of the negative wire gets secured to the frame via one of the starter bolts. I thought you were inquiring about the other lead off of it.

Great thank you for your reply! I still have a no start issue I'm running down. Going to test the starter relay next.
