I put precision skis on my apex, what an amazing difference. I bought them for 180 used with carbides and they we the best investment so far. Maybe I'm jumping the gun here was only one ride but I did follow a apex with yam a skis and watched it push all over. I could steer inside, outside around this guy no prob. He had dual lies on which was the set up I ran and it worked ok. Anyway a little info on instal, one of the prcision ski bushing has to be flipped to the outside and u need a 1/4 inch thick piece of rubber about 2x3 inches to fill a void under the stock yam a rubbers. The aluminum saddle has a rectangular void under the spindle which should be filled. The yam a bolts are to long. They work but u need a half inch long bushing to take up the extra bolt. Like a big thick washer. I used bushing from my yama skis for now but will get shorter bolts from the ski don't dealership. I just hope it wasn't a one ride thing but so far I totally impressed.

Have you tried taking these skis off trail? How wide are they? I'm looking into a different set of skis since my apex likes to bulldoze with the AD bovin expert x suspension in it. Glad you wont be getting beat to all hell after a good ride.

I believe 6" skis are generally trail skis. Do you have a single carbide runner? At what length? You got a good deal in my opinion.

Precision skis have two runners on each ski. on the outter edges. Google precision ski click on images at the top. i may try 1/4" shim on the keel see if it helps the bit of darting i experienced

I can't seem to find the website to precision skis. I heard this needed to be done on some of the C&A skis, my buddy had a pair on his phazer and it was really hard to turn. For the snowtrackers, can you put them onto aftermarket skis or are you boned with your stock skis.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a set of ZX chasis ski rubbers and get rid of your Yammie ones. It will fit better and will make the install look factory. They are pretty cheap if I remember right at any local Ski Doo dealer.
