well
it is not for me, my buddy recked his skis and the only spare pair we have right now are some artic crap ones, and he doesn't care. Just wondering how you could do it.

Pick up a set of stock Yammi takeoffs. A lot of guys here have replaced theirs. Should be able to pick up a set for around $100.00. Would more then likely cost that much to retrofit the Cat skis, and you'll be left with retrofitted Cat skis

Here's why you'd want to.
The Yamaha saddles fit into the Cat skis. You will need to drill the sides of the saddles to use the little torx bolts that Cat uses for extra support.
You will also have to drill an additional skag hole and egg out one or two of the others.
Lastly, you will have to remove a little bit of the plastic on the ski to make clearance for the spindle bolt.
This was an awesome improvement for my Warrior. Front end now floats in powder and trail handling is way, way better, and that feeling you get in crusty snow that the handlebars might get yanked out of your hands is gone.
These are Cat's pre-parabolic mtn. skis.
If you've already got the cat plastics, it shouldn't take more than an hour to mount them and cost more than a couple of beer.

Hmmmm....interesting....and we just threw out 3 pairs of these skis that were left from my Cat days (unless the ones you are talking about are different than the older Cat plastic skis).

I don't think Cat has changed the dimensions of their saddles since they came out with plastic skis. Their newer, lower end sleds use saddle-less skis, so these aren't interchangeable, but with a little fiddling, the rest are.
