'12 Artic Cats

I really like the XF1100T limited. If it's in the 545lb dry weight area it would weigh the same as my current vector. Would sure love to try one out versus a 2012 APEX XTX to decide which to add to the stable..

Love them all!!! THey did what I thought a sled manufacture should do. 800 two smoke for mountains, 4S NA and turbo versions for everything else. They look awesome and listened to people and got rid of the Diamond drive and took the weight penalty but people will love them.

I will be visiting the dealership to check fit and finish.

Competition is good for yamaha.

According to the Swedish brochure the M1100T SP LTD dry weigt is 562 lb, XF1100T 549 lb, M800 SP 153" 474 lb, XF800 SP High Country 456 lb

549 lbs for a 4 stroke turbo long track. Did you here that Yamaha!

I think the F1100T is listed at 548 lbs which is the same weight as my 06 RTX. Admittedly, the 2011 & 12 Apex are 25 - 30 lbs heavier than that. So yes, the cat is lighter, but not in an earth shattering way.

I'm assuming the chassis will handle well and have a nice suspension like the chassis it's replacing. But I'm still suspicious about quality and strength. It will be interesting to see how it plays out next year.

I predict many of our members who have been venting so much the last few weeks will return to their Apex after experiencing a season of Cat quality and light-weight construction. We shall see.

They said in the launch video they took 60 pounds off the front end. I;m sure some of the weight loss is a result of tipping the motor back.

Well one thing I don't hear about Cat is their sub-frames bending. Fit and finish has always been sub-par compared to Yamaha but they have been pretty durable sleds chassis wise from what I have seen. I guess we'll see what the 60lb weight loss does for them.

x2

They look good. Rear skid on most looks like a version of recent mountain sleds from them (lightweight). Will definitely want to demo a XF 1100T. That white version is just SICK!

Supertrax has a short write up on their initial ride impressions. Sounds like they love the chassis.

To quote Supertrax on the 4 stroke F series sleds "This is pure magic and finally, after almost ten years of 4-stroke sleds, somebody has finally managed to get it right."

I like the fact that AC is pretty much a 4s company now with a good 800 2s as an option. I still love my Vec though so I am happy with my outdated ride overall. But if I were to buy new it would be the black 50th turbo.

I wouldn't believe anything supertrax had to say about any sled. Maxsled or Snowtech seem to be the most impartial IMO.
