I just ordered a clucth kit from you guys stage 2
what would be the best belt for my GT.

Thank You!

Stock belt is the only belt we recommend. Before you do much riding take the belt off and wash it in warm soapy dish water, then rinse it off and let it dry.

Allen

Are you recommending we do this with any new sled's belt?

Dave

Dave, I do this anytime I have a new belt.

Have you done enough real tests to have a idea of how many sled lengths your Stage 4 kit will give a person?

600 ft.? -1000 ft.? -1/2 mile? -mile?

THANKS ALLEN!

Thanks Allen.

I had heard that taking a bit of extra fine sandpaper and lightly sanding the belt edge was another method. Is it that we are trying to remove some greasy or waxy protective coating?

Dave, it removes the greasy/waxy substance that is on the belt and just allows quicker break-in of the belt. Lightly scuffing it with fine sandpaper, a stainless steel brush, red scotch brite pad, etc works well also. Just be sure to wash it in warm soapy water.

Just a quick question, what do the arrows on the belt refer to (if anything).
Should the belt go back on with the arrows pointing to the primary or seat or is it insignificant. Just pulled mine off to wash and scuff and noticed the arrows after.

Thanks

One final question, I got the belt off (took a few trys to get the secondary
sheave to move far enough back) but the sheave seems to rotate very hard the last inch or so which is making it a bitch to get the belt back on. I am so afraid of breaking something that I don't want to lean against any piece of the machine like the bracket to the right of the secondary etc. Any trick here or am I simply not turning hard enough for long enough. I don't recall my Polaris's being this hard.

Thanks
