daveh, I haven't had a chance to respond, been locked in the shop for the last 5 days trying to get caught up with customers sleds and doing some more Attak testing.
The secondary spring is pretty stiff in both the Apex & Attak models. You probably aren't quite putting enough force on the secondary. I personally like to put 1 hand on the helix and one on the inside sheave and give it a good push to get it open for belt removal and installation.

Thanks Allen,
I had my daughter's boyfriend push the helix while I twisted/pushed and we got er back on but it sure seems tight to me. Just did my daughter's 340 polaris and it was so easy I almost threw myself over the side. Can the shaft be lubed at all (behind the secondary rotating sheave) or is that a no no?
