Attack Stud Height--Anyone try 1.450 studs ?

first...studs on the outside rows help prevent push (with proper balance of carbide)

second....I wouldnt recommend the angled backers unless the majority of use was racing not trail riding..

Has anyone tried the angled backers from woody's?? Would you recommend them?

Make sure you don't get near the very center of the track. wher my shock rubbed, the damage was more severe due to the angled backers. also bogy wheels don't glide over the stud head as good because of the slight angle on the head.

a buddie of mine has an 06 apex with 1.25 ripsaw and running 1.575 megabites and they have only hit the exaust sheild a few times. i have a new apex and am thinking about putting the same in mine. i have looked over close and couldn`t find anywhere else they hit. he has put 700 miles on and hit some blind jumps and yes mams like we all do.
mine have also hit the shield a few times and I only have 1.375 studboys

Mine is a 121" not an Attack though

They don't measure the same as Woody's.

Studding the Apex.

I'm looking at installing 192 1.325 inch studs inside and out. Good idea? Also have a set of 8" bergstrom triple points and shims to install. Thanks

I did what Woody's recommended. 1.325's 162 I believe.
They still hit my rear exchanger with 1 1/4in protectors. I had to add an old slide.
The Ripsaw bends as the lugs are softer then other tracks and bend over exposeing more stud.
My Vmax had outside studs and they pulled threw. So no way on this sled.

I have run woody 1.45 in the center for 3000 miles with no issues. I run the track as loose as possible. The only problem I have is I'm running stud boy double backers made of plastic and have broken some.

What do you recommend for a 1-1/4"x144" predator? Woody's tech said 171 1.325" down the center (using their long track template) or 152 using the same template but skipping the middle stud on every 3 rows.
